This issue features the opening of Vikings: The North Atlantic Saga is featured. Also included in the newsletter are articles on the closing of the Ainu exhibit, Igor's work on knowledge repatriation on St. Lawrence Island, and an invited article by Nobuhiro Kishigami on indigenous management of resources.

Issue 7 (August 1999)
This issue details the opening of the Ainu exhibit as well as the Rasmuson gift to the Anchorage Museum. Also included are articles on the opening of the Inupiat Heritage Center, the beginning of the Vikings exhibit and an invited article, "Sami Homeland-The Making of a Nation" by Norwegian anthropologist Terje Brantenberg.

Issue 6 (May 1998)
This newsletter features Igor's article entitled "New Visions for Arctic Anthropology" and the opening of the 'Arktis-Antarktis' exhibit in Bonn. Special supplement on Prehistoric petroglyphs of the North Pacific by Yaoliang Song.

Issue 5 (March 1997)
Included in the newsletter are Sven Haakanson, Jr.'s research with the 'Living Yamal' program, the development of the Ainu exhibit and a feature on Native Alaskan Partnerships, an excerpt from Jana Harcharek's address to the NMNH board.

Issue 4 (September 1995)
This issue includes articles on the Crossroads Alaska exhibit tour, an update on Igor's and Bill's research in Yamal, and Aron's work at Glacier Bay with the National Park Service.

Issue 3 ( January 1994)
Features include the 'Living Yamal' Project and surveys of the Russian Arctic, Stephen's research in the Western Aleutian Islands, the Pathways Project with the Innu of Labrador and ethnology at the ASC.
